Sven leads the Human8 business in Germany. Previously an owner of Happy Thinking People, he became part of Human8 (previously InSites Consulting) early 2023 and now works in bringing the experience and know-how of the former Happy Thinking People teams in Germany, France and Switzerland into the business.

Sven has been working in market research since 1991 and his particular areas of expertise lie in brand positioning and insight development, in product innovation and brand strategy. Within Happy Thinking People he worked with his teams to develop new approaches to consumer centricity, particularly with a qualitative focus.

Originally from Switzerland and growing up in the UK, Sven is trilingual in German, English and French and speaks a little Italian and Spanish. The international research field is one that has always held a special fascination and he works with clients on research and strategy projects all over the world. Sven regularly gives workshops and training courses, including qualitative research academies for ESOMAR. He has been on a number of Program Committees at various ESOMAR events.

Sven has lived in Berlin for over 25 years and is still fascinated by the city’s continuous capacity for change.
